The Aims of the Learning Object
Why?
The learning
object is addressed to undergraduate and graduate students of the Tallinn University of Technology and of other European Universities. The aim of the learning object is to explain the trends in the EU toward more transparent and accountable institutions. The learning object forms part of
the course "Accountability and Review of EU Institutions".
Activities

The student works with theoretical materials;
- The student solves self-control exercises in the e-learning environment;
- The student participates in discussions upon the exercises.

The bases of grading:
Written exam. The exam consists of fill-in-the-blanks test and the result
depends on the percentage of the right answers
• Assessment of individual work:
The student has performed exercises in the Learning Object on the topics discussed. The answers to the exercises will be discussed addressing participants individually. Participation counts toward 20% of the final result.

• Assessment of exam:
The maximum number of points for the test is
20 for 20 questions.
The result on the scale 0-5 corresponds to
the points received as follows:
(5) grade 'A' or "excellent" –
19-20/20;
(4) grade 'B' or "very good" – 17-18/20;
(3) grade 'C or "good" – 15-16/20;
(2) grade 'D' or "satisfactory" – 13-14/20;
(1) grade 'E' or "poor" – 11-12/20;
(0) grade 'F' or "fail" – below 11.
